Animal Health & Production Technology

 

Admission Requirements

The minimum entry requirements for National Diploma in Animal Health and Production Technology are:

  1. WASC or GCE 'O' Level or SSCE with a minimum of four (4) Credit passes, obtained at not more than two sittings. The four subjects must include: Biology/Agricultual Science, Chemistry, Economics, English Language, Geography, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics. Candidates must, in addition, obtain at least pass grades in English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.

  2. Four (4) Credit passes in an National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) recognized Preliminary National Diploma courses offered in a College of Agriculture or similar Post Secondary Institution. The four Credit passes must come from subjects specified in (i) above.
Application
Prospective students for this programme should obtain the application form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) when it is available.
Programme Duration
  • The programme runs for a minimum of two (2) academic sessions or four (4) semesters (Harmattan and Rain). Each semester lasts for 15 - 17 weeks.

  • A four (4) months compulsory supervised Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) which takes place at the end of the second semester of the first year.

 

Mode of Study

The programme is available in both full-time and part-time.
