National Diploma
Admission Requirements
The minimum entry requirements for National Diploma in Science LaboratoryTechnology are:
WASC or GCE 'O' Level or SSCE with a minimum of four (4) Credit passes, obtained at not more than two sittings. The four subjects must include: Biology/Agricultual Science, Chemistry, Economics, English Language, Geography, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics. Candidates must, in addition, obtain at least pass grades in English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.
Four (4) Credit passes in an National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) recognized Preliminary National Diploma courses offered in a College of Agriculture or similar Post Secondary Institution. The four Credit passes must come from subjects specified in (i) above.
The programme runs for a minimum of two (2) academic sessions or four (4) semesters (Harmattan and Rain). Each semester lasts for 15 - 17 weeks.
A four (4) months compulsory supervised Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) which takes place at the end of the second semester of the first year.
