APPLICATIONS INTO HER HND FULL TIME AND PART-TIME ACCREDITED NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) AND HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PROGRAMMES FOR 2011/2012 ACADEMIC YEAR.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into FULL TIME 2-YEAT HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA, and PART TIME 3 –YEAR NATIONAL DIPLOMA AND HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES which will be available during the Academic Year, in the Federal College of Animal Health and production Technology, Ibadan.
The Federal college of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan has an affiliation with the Mississippi State University, Starkville, United States of America for the transfer and training of the College HND GRADUATES TO THE Department of Poultry Science, College of Agriculture and Life Science, for a two year programme leading to the award of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree. Other benefits include a waiver of the tuition fee by paying in state tuition. They are eligible for scholarship. The transfer programme is a continuous one. Currently, some of the outstanding College students are benefitting from the affiliation.
Also, the College is affiliated with Guilford College, United Kingdom. The best Higher National Diploma (Distinction, Upper Credit or Top Lower Credit) are admittable for one (1) year Top up programme leading to the award of B.Sc Degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare or Animal Management.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The College compiled with the directive of the JAMB Registrar that all National Diploma Admission should be through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) admission. Therefore, prospective candidates for the College Full Time National programme admissions are advised to apply through the 2011/2012 UTME admission. No sales of admission forms for National Diploma full Time Programme. However, there will be sales of admission form for National Diploma in Statistics, which has just been given interim accreditation by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The admission forms available for sales are listed below:
FULL TIME (MONDAY – FRIDAY)

  3. National Diploma in fisheries Technology
  4. National Diploma in Statistics
  5. Higher National Diploma in Animal Health Technology
  6. Higher National Diploma in Animal Production Technology
  7. Higher national Diploma in Agricultural Extension and Management
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should note that entry requirements for both Full Time and Part Time are the same in relation to different courses.
  • NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN ANIMAL HEALTH AND PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY
    Candidates must hold WASC or GCE “O” Level of SSCE or NECO with a minimum of five (5) credits passes, obtained at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Biology or Agriculture Science, Chemistry, Economics, English Language, Geography, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics. Candidates must in addition obtain at least PASS grades in English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.
  • NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN FISHERIES TECHNOLOGY
    As in A above.
  • NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN SCIENCE LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY Candidates must hold WASC or GCE “O” Level or SSCE or NECO with a minimum of five (5) credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings in each of the subjects listed below:
    • Mathematics
    • English Language
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Physics
  • NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN STATISTICS
    Candidates must hold WASC or GCE “O” Level or SSCE or NECO with a minimum of five (5) credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include, English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other two from the following: Economics, Geography, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and Government/History.
  • HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN ANIMAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY
    • As in A above
    • A minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA 2.50) in the National Diploma in �Animal Health and Production Technology obtained from accredited Programmes of recognized institutions.
    • A minimum of one year post National Diploma cognate work experience.
  • HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN ANIMAL PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY
    (a) As in A above.
    (b)A minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA 2.50) in the National Diploma
    in Animal Health and Production Technology or Agricultural Technology obtained from accredited Programmes of recognized institutions.
    (c)A minimum of one year post National Diploma cognate work experience.
    (d) NCE in Agricultural Science (Double major) with at least NCE Merit.
  • HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION AND MANAGEMENT
    • As in A above.
    • A minimum of Lower Credit Pass (CGPA 2.50) in the cognate National
    • Diploma in Agricultural Technology and Related Discipline obtained from accredited Programmes of recognized Institutions.
    • NCE in Agricultural Science (double major) with at least NCE Merit.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
ON-LINE REGISTRATIONwww.fcahpt.edu.ng Request for application is now On Line with non refundable fee of Six thousand naira (N6,000) only. Candidates are to log in to the college portal www.fcahpt.edu.ng and register accordingly.

CLOSING DATE
Normal registration will commence immediately and continue up to Friday 23rd September, 2011. However, late registration at the rate of Eight thousand naira (N8,000) only will be available up to Friday 14th October, 2011. The College Portal will be closed on that day.
All applicants for Higher national Diploma are advised to request their last Institutions to forward their Academic Transcripts for both the Pre Diploma and National Diploma Programmes directly to the Registrar of the college. Any application form received after the above stipulated date will not be processed.
