To provide knowledge and skills essential for primary processing and preparation of livestock products
To produce technicians capable of carrying out routine preventive measure, meat inspection and follow up prescribed veterinary medical treatments.
Affiliation with Mississippi State University, Starkville, USA
The Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan, has an affiliation with the Mississippi State University of Starkville United States of America (MSU) for the transfer and training of the College Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates to the Department of Poultry Science, College of Agriculture and Life Science, Mississippi State University for two year programme leading to the award of Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) degree. Other benefits include a waiver of tuition fees by paying in-state tuition that is, tuition like a citizen of not just the United States but of Mississippi State. There is a Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan and Federal College of Chemical and Leather Technology, Zaria that promotes a symbiotic relationship between both institution which facilitates staff and student exchange. Also, with the Memorandum of Understanding in view is the development curriculum for hides and skins improvement on a step wise basis with an aim to establishing a Department of hides and skins and leather utilization in the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan. http://www.simplynigeria.com
