NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

AIMS & OBJECTIVES
To provide manpower in the area of Animal Health and Production.
To produce extension staff capable of imparting to livestock farmers, the modern techniques of increased Animal Production
To produce men and women, knowledgeable in the field of Animal Production who would effectively utilize their training to establish and manage their own livestock farms to maximum advantage. Ultimately, the College aims primarily at producing job makers not job seekers.
To provide knowledge and skills essential for primary processing and preparation of livestock products
To produce technicians capable of carrying out routine preventive measure, meat inspection and follow up prescribed veterinary medical treatments.

Dr. Chidi Nweze Okpeze
He was born on 22nd May, 1964 to Mr.  & Mrs. C. O. Okpeze from Nibo town in Awka L.G.A. of Anambra State.

He started his educational career from Amamife Primary School, Awka, proceeded to Boys High School, Nibo, University of Nigeria Nsukka for his first degree, he then moved to University of Ibadan for his M. Sc and Ph. D in Exercise Physiology.

He started his career at Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moor Plantation as an Assistant Lecturer, he rose through the rank, he is presently a Principal Lecturer, Head of Information and Documentation/ Student  Affairs Officer/Director of Sports which makes him a member of College Internal Management Committee.

He is a member of several Professional bodies among which are:
Ø    Nigeria School Health Association (NSHA)
Ø    Nigeria Association of Sports Science and Medicine (NASSM)
Ø    International Council for Physical Education, Recreation Sports and Dance (ICHPER.SD)

He had published a book and written over 18 journals  

Hobbies:
Playing and coaching soccer, volleyball, badminton and judo with reading and travelling

He married to Mrs. Victoria Ezinwawne Okpeze with two children
