AIMS & OBJECTIVES
To provide manpower in the area of Animal Health and Production.
To produce extension staff capable of imparting to livestock farmers, the modern techniques of increased Animal Production
To produce men and women, knowledgeable in the field of Animal Production who would effectively utilize their training to establish and manage their own livestock farms to maximum advantage. Ultimately, the College aims primarily at producing job makers not job seekers.
To provide knowledge and skills essential for primary processing and preparation of livestock products
To produce technicians capable of carrying out routine preventive measure, meat inspection and follow up prescribed veterinary medical treatments.


BRIEF HISTORY OF 1ST AID CENTER
FEDERAL COLLEGE OF ANIMAL HEALTH AND PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY, IBADAN.
·    Established 12th August, 2010, in view of the increase in the Students’ population of the College and the NHIS policy of 1999.
·    We serve as a Primary Health Care provider for the Students (as well as regarding members of Staff and their Dependants).
·    We provide first point of contact to the Students regarding their Health needs and often members of Staff, their families and their dependants.
·    We help maintain and promote good Health by prevention and early treatment of common illnesses.
·    We were established to provide good quality and readily accessible Health Care Services even for our Fee paying Patients such as Staff, Relatives of Staff and our surrounding neighbouring community on demand.
·    We work in collaboration with Health Care International, a well recognized and competent Health Maintenance Organization for Primary Care of Students.
·    We refer Students who need further care to their Secondary Health Provider, currently Teju specialist Hospital, Ring road, Ibadan.
·    We have about 14 members of Staff as follows:
o    2 Medical Doctors
o    3 Registered Nurses & Midwives
o    3 Hospital Assistants
o    3 Administrative Staff for Medical Records
o    2 Cleaners
o    I Medical Laboratory Technician
·    About 738 full time Student are currently Registered with us, as well as:
o    57 Pat time students
o    187 Members of staff
o    1062 Staff dependants
o    106 Billed patients
All these make a grand Total of about 1185 Patients/Clients as at the moment.
