Dr. Olajide Joseph Osauomi Was Born At Ijero Local Government Area Of Ekiti State On 11th November ,1956. He had his primary school at st. peter catholic school, ijero –ekiti from 1962 to 1964 and at st.pauls primary school,makun sagamu from 1965 to 1967.He entered Doherty memorial grammar school ijero-ekiti for his secondary school education in 1968 and completed this in 1972 with a grade 2 west African school certificate.
He also gained admission in 1973 into osogbo grammer school for his higher school certificate course (HSC). On successful completion of the course in 1975, he worked briefly with western state ministry of finance and economic development, secretariant Ibadan as an account clerk till February 1976 when ondo state was created and he was deployed to the same ministry at akure as senior clerical officer in charge of salaries.
Later in October the same year (1976) he gained admission into university of ife (Now O.A.U).,School of animal health (Now federal college of animal Health and production technology I.A.R &T)Ibadan .(In the school he was sponsored by then ondo state Government ) and this he completed in June 1978 with credit pass in ordinary diploma certificate in animal health.
In august 1979,Dr olajide osayomi awarded a federal Government scholarship to study in veterinary Medicine in USSR . he studied at the kuban agricultural institute in Russian federation and later at the Kharkov Zooveterinary institute,Kharkov in Ukraine Republic of the USSR where he graduated a doctor of veterinary Medicine (DVM)and completion of his master of science degree in veterinary Medicine (MVSC) he returned to Nigeria in 1985.
Between December 1985 and November 1986,Dr osayomi serverd in the NYSC Scheme with the Oyo state Ministry of agriculture and Natural Resources, veterinary centre mokola, Ibadan .
He joined the Services of the institute of Agricultural Research and Training (I.A.R&T) Federal college of Animal Health and production Technology on the 7th day of june ,1988 as a TUTOR II.His appointment was confirmed in june,1992 and promoted as lecturer I in 1993 after a conversion from the post of Tutorship to lecturership the same year. He was also promoted to senior lecturer in October , 1996
Since joining the college , Dr osayomi has been teaching various course both in national and higher diploma classes and he also supervised students projects at both levels
Moreover,Dr.osayomi was appointed the students’ Affairs for colleges of agriculture and animal Health and production Technology , I.AR & T Ibadan in 1991 and he served in his capacity till 2008 .He also served as the head of the following units in the college of Animal health and production Technology I.A.R & T Ibadan
(i) Head veterinary clinic
(ii) Head SIWES Coordinating unit
(iii) Chairman,examination compilation /time table committee ,and he is a member of the college Administrative Committee among others .
Dr. Osayomi has attended many workshops, seminars and conferences with and outside Ibadan presente papers in some .
On the social sector , Dr . osayomi belongs to some clubs, He is a member of ijero club ’90 where he once served as the social D irector for two consecutive terms .He is a registered member of the following :
(i) Nigerian veterinary Medical Association .
(ii) Nigerian Alumni Association of sevient Academy Institution (NAASAI).
Dr. Osayomi was awarded the student union Government and NASU awards of the Federal colleges of Agriculture, Animal health and production Technology Award in 1997 . He has a special interest In Table Tennis ,Jugging and he is fond of making people to laugh .
Dr . olajide osayomi is happily married and marriage is blessed with children .
