To produce men and women, knowledgeable in the field of Animal Production who would effectively utilize their training to establish and manage their own livestock farms to maximum advantage. Ultimately, the College aims primarily at producing job makers not job seekers.
To provide knowledge and skills essential for primary processing and preparation of livestock products
To produce technicians capable of carrying out routine preventive measure, meat inspection and follow up prescribed veterinary medical treatments.
Dr.  Ademola Moshood Raji
was born in Lagos on 19th December, 1963. He is from Ikirun in Irepodun Local Government Area of Osun State. He attended St. Charles Grammar School, Oshogbo from 1976 to 1981; Oshogbo Grammar School (A/Levels) from 1981 to 1983 and University of Ibadan from 1984 to 1997.

Dr. A. M.  Raji joined the services of the Institutes of Agricultural Research and Training (I.A.R&T) as a Junior Research Fellow in September, 1989. He obtained his B. Sc (Animal Science) degree in 1988 and M. Sc (Agricultural Biochemistry and Nutrition) in 1992 both from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He took up a fresh appointment in the College on 1St April, 1992 as an Assistant Tutor I and was converted to Lecturer III in 1993. He bagged his Ph. D degree in Animal Nutrition from the University of Ibadan in August 1997. He was promoted and rose to the rank of Principal Lecturer on CONTISS 14 in October, 2007 before his appointment as the Provost/Chief Executive Officer of the College. He coordinates all academic and administrative activities in the College from time to time. He is directly responsible to the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development through the Executive Secretary, Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) Abuja.

Before his appointment as the College Provost, he taught Range and Pasture Management, Rabbit and Equine Production at both National and Higher National Diploma levels to the College students. He also supervised National and Higher National Diploma Project of the College students. He had co-supervised one M. Sc student dissertation and one Ph. D Thesis.

He served in the College various Committees and his contributions had always been very sound. He was the Head of College Computer and Cyber-café, the Head of College Examination and Computation Committee and Head of Higher Animal Production Technology Programme.

Presently, he is the Chairman of the College Academic Board. He is keenly interested in research work in addition to his teaching assignments. Between  1989 and 1992, he was a Senior Research Assistant, Presidential Task Force on Alternative Feed of Formulation and ingredients for ruminant at low cost. He was also the Research Assistant, International Foundation of Science Projects on Sheep and Goats.
Between January 2007 and August 2008, he was a research Scholar, University of Florida, United States of America. He conducted a comprehensive laboratory evaluation of various Nigerian native medicinal plants for possible use as secondary compounds in Animal Nutrition and Health.

He has attended a lot of Scientific/Professional Conference where he presented papers in Nigeria and USA. He has three(3) Theses; four(4) Book Chapters; two(2) Editorships; thirteen(13)  Refereed Journal articles, twenty seven (27) Refereed proceedings an abstracts of papers presented at scientific meetings and three(3) Non-refereed and extension publications and other articles. He is a member of five (5) Professional Bodies both in Nigeria and USA. He co-edited the 2003 proceedings of Nigerian Society for Animal Production.

Dr. Raji is a Consultant to the Poultry Farmer Association of Nigeria. A Resource Person on Animal Production to Edo State and Ogun state Agricultural Development Programme. He is an External Examiner to Federal College of Forestry, Jericho, Ibadan. He was a member of National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) Accreditation Team to Michael Okpara College of Agriculture Umuagwo, Owerri. He was one time Manger, College Teaching and Research Poultry Farm at Bora, Ibadan.

He is the College Royal Ambassador that facilitated the securing of working relationship between the College and Mississippi State University, Starkville, USA; Guildford College, United Kingdom and Federal College of Chemical and Leather Technology, Zaria, Plateau State.

He is presently the National Secretary of the Committee of Provosts of Federal College of Agriculture and Related Discipline known as NARCHARD and COFHCARD.

He is cool, calm and collected. He is a good listener and his approach to issues is quiet matured and thoughtful. He is a bundle of useful energy, resourceful and highly motivated.
